Get involved with the Wandsworth Arts Fringe (WAF) and take part in WAF Young Reporters with Riverside Radio. The project isfor young people aged 14 - 19, who live or study in the borough of Wandsworth. These projects are completely free, and support is available to cover travel costs if required.

Step into the shoes of a radio broadcaster on the WAF Young Reporters scheme with Riverside Radio. Learn how to conduct interviews with artists and event organisers for a radio broadcast over multiple sessions.Sessions May 2024 – April 2025.
In this programme you will learn how to interview an artist on radio which could set you up to join a local reporting group after the project. No radio experience is needed to get involved in this project, this is your chance to learn!
What will I need to do?
Attend an ‘Introduction to Radio Interviewing’ session with Riverside Radio, learn the ins and outs of preparing for a radio interview. Riverside Radio will assign you a WAF artist to interview.
Attend your recording session at Riverside Radio studio to interview an act, learn to set up mics and recording equipment.
Take part in Wandsworth Arts Festival by attending the launch event and seeing performances
Use your new skills to conduct interviews for creative and artistic events happening across Wandsworth – this will be ad-hoc and organised around your schedule

July 2024 – April 2025 – ad-hoc reporting opportunities with Riverside Radio, covering events and activities across the borough (organised around your schedule)
